My love for beauty has been a lifelong journey, starting when I was just 16. I vividly remember experimenting with makeup, like applying green eyeshadow all the way up to my brow bone. My mom would give me that “scare stare,” but I was so confident it looked amazing! Looking back, it was pretty funny. Over the years, I kept practicing, applying makeup on my close friends, and perfecting my skills.
After getting married, I decided to share my looks on YouTube, staying up until 3 a.m. perfecting my winged eyeliner, determined to get both sides symmetrical. That drive led me to start freelancing under the name “Beauty By Aya,” where I focused on creating stunning Arabian/Indian bridal looks.
After finishing my education in Pharmacy, I quickly realized it wasn’t the path I wanted to follow. So, I pivoted to the beauty retail world. While retail has its ups and downs, my time at MAC Cosmetics was definitely the highlight. There, I learned how to work with darker skin tones and mastered the art of flawless foundation application. I also had the incredible opportunity to be a counter manager for Anastasia Beverly Hills, where I was trained by the talented Michael, Anastasia’s right hand. He taught me everything about brows—from choosing the perfect brow pencil to waxing and shaping them to perfection.

This is me, Aya Hamed! You may recognize me from Youtube, because that’s where it all started. My passion for everything beauty.
My passion for everything beauty. Ever since I was 16 years old, I fell in love with makeup. I would apply green eyeshadow all the way to my brow bone and my mom would give me the scare stare, and I was so confident that it looked amazing. It was so funny! Over the years I kept playing with makeup and practicing by applying it on my close friends. After I got married I decided to share my looks on Youtube. I would stay up until 3 am to perfect a winged eyeliner. I was so determined to get both eyes perfectly the same. I also started freelancing; at that time I was known as “Beauty By Aya”. My specialty was creating Arabian/Indian bridal looks. Upon finishing my education in Pharmacy, I realized that it wasn’t for me so I decided to head into the “beauty” retail world. You know how the retail world is, some places are great but some places just want to bring you down. The best experience in retail was definitely MAC cosmetics. I learned how to work with darker skin tones and how to apply foundation flawlessly. I also enjoyed being a counter manager for Anastasia Beverly Hills. I got trained by the amazing Michael, Anastasia’s right hand. He taught me everything about brows from, how to choose the perfect brow pencil, to how to properly wax and shape brows.

Aya was so incredibly kind and professional with my lip blushing service. I have asymmetry and I struggle with melasma so my pigmentation and shape isn’t the easiest to work with. Needless to say, she worked with me to find the best shape and colour for my lips. I wanted “natural but with oomph!” I love them! She was funny, kind and her new studio is extra gorgeous. It’s super vulnerable to be trusting someone to tattoo your lips, but I felt safe in her capable hands. After mastering the art of waxing, shaping, and filling brows, I knew it was time to take my skills to the next level—into the world of permanent makeup! I enrolled in a course at Lash Forever Canada to learn the Nano Brows technique, also known as feathering. As clients began booking with me and trusting me to enhance their brows and faces, I realized this was my true calling.
To deepen my expertise, I furthered my education at Micro Pigmentation Centre Toronto and Shay Danielle Academy Online, where I trained in eyeliner, lip blush, and powdered brows. I also attended the Tattoo & Piercing School of Canada, where I learned the art of small, delicate tattoos and body piercing. My commitment to learning is ongoing—I believe in continuous education to refine my skills and techniques. I love traveling to connect with master permanent makeup artists and attending industry conferences to stay updated on the latest trends and innovations.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with clients facing various skin conditions and health challenges, including alopecia, cancer, and hypothyroidism—conditions I frequently encounter in my work as a permanent makeup artist. When clients tell me that my work has had a positive impact on their lives, it fills me with immense joy and reminds me why I love what I do.
Recently, I was honored to win 2nd place in the Browista Competition in Canada for Powder Brows, which was an exciting milestone in my career. I am truly passionate about my work as a permanent makeup artist, and I wake up every day excited to continue learning, growing, and making a difference in my clients’ lives.

Now that I have perfected, waxing, shaping and filling brows, I thought I would take the next level. Permanent Makeup that is! I decided to take a course at LASH FOREVER CANADA to learn how to do Nano Brows also known as feathering technique. People started booking and trusting me with their face! From there I knew this is what I wanted to do for a living! I expanded my knowledge by attending MICRO PIGMENTATION CENTRE TORONTO, and Shay Danielle Academy Online to learn eyeliner, lip blush, and powdered brows. I also attended Tattoo & Piercing School of Canada to learn how to do small dainty tattoos and body piercing. I will continue to learn something new every single day. Most importantly, I believe in continuous education to better skills and techniques, I just love to travel and meet master permanent makeup artist and attend important conferences. Over the past couple of years, I’ve met clients with many types of skin ailments & health issues. For instance alopecia, cancer, & hypothyroidism are the most common issues I deal with as a permanent makeup artist. Having clients telling me that I have changed their life for the better brings me so much happiness and reminds me why I love waking up and going to work! I truly love my job as a permanent makeup artist!
